BIMA - Manager - Finance

We are looking to for an experienced and professional Finance Manager to join our team. This position will play a key role in the organization's strategy and long-term financial security. The Finance Manager will work with the management team to control and analyse department finances, meet statutory reporting and tax compliance obligations and develop budgets and forecasts.

- Supervision and continual improvement of a robust control environment to give accurate and timely recording of all transactions including salary and vendor payments

- Preparation of tax returns, annual financial statements and all other relevant statutory reporting

- Management of a timely and accurate month end close process with reporting to a European parent and the regular reconciliation of MIS

- Understanding of the impact of transfer pricing, employee salary structures and incentives for the facilitation of tax compliance and optimization

- Management and maintenance of all documentation relevant to secure compliance with any legal requirements

- Facilitation of the annual audit of financial and legal compliance

- Understand costs and develop future expectations for the building of budgets/ forecasts

- Work with the Group team and local advisers to optimise tax structure and reporting

- Maintain compliance with Indian tax and other relevant regulation

- Provide oversight of the classification of research and development activities for capitalisation under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

- Manage and supervise one direct report (Assistant Accounts Manager)

- Assist with the local implementation of a new global finance system

The candidate will be responsible for the financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance of our Indian operations and shall provide financial resource to the local software development operations.

Our expectation is for someone who has a strong financial control and compliance background but who will have sufficient experience and ability to guide senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.

Desired skills and experience

- 6-10 years- experience in financial controller or related role in financial department of reputable firms

- CA and CS degrees

- Sound knowledge of Indian tax regulations and transfer pricing

- Prior experience in a global IT firm or an outsourcing firm preferred

- Understanding of how R&D processes and methodology impacts accounting. Preferably from Agile development

- Understanding of project accounting is desired but not necessary
