BIMA - Business Analyst - Business Analytics & Reporting

We are looking to expand our Central finance team with Analysts to our Business Analytics and Reporting function. The candidate will be responsible for creating business critical reports reporting into the Team Lead - Business Analytics and Reporting, Bangalore.

THE CANDIDATE : 

The candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to,

Key Responsibilities : 

- The role is primarily data gathering, reporting and analysis using MSBI.

- Individuals work directly with different markets regarding data and information in creating, automating and scheduling meaningful reports and analysis

- Knowledge of handling large data sets and business intelligence solutions is MUST

- Experience with data analysis or data science.

- Expert in writing SQL queries and working on Microsoft Business Intelligence suite - SSMS, SSAS and SSRS tools.

- Must be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel including dashboards, Excel Macros, Pivot & other advanced reporting functions

- Ability to understand and evaluate report requests, provide inputs to business decision making

- Attention to detail and maintain data accuracy

- Effective communication skills, both oral and written

- Quick learner, Passionate and committed team player

Educational Qualifications : 

- Graduate/Post Graduate with reporting and analytical experience

- Quantitative background (computer science, mathematics, statistics etc. is a plus)

Desired skills and experience : 

- 3 - 6 years of experience in working with databases and SQL in a business environment is mandatory

- Good knowledge of and experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools is a MUST, preferably MSBI.

- At least 2+ years of experience performing ETL, BI tools, and Ad-hoc analyses using SQL Server Reporting Tools

- Good knowledge of SQL Server design, data modeling, designing data cubes, development, debugging and optimization.

- Ability to analyse complex data or systems and to provide actionable recommendations to help resolve process gaps or related business challenges

- Creating and automating SQL Server reports and dashboards for business process management.

- Expertise in dash-boarding and interactive data visualization techniques using Tableau or Power-BI is a big plus

- Experience in statistical techniques such as Regression, Clustering, Time Series Forecasting, Churn prediction modelling using R, Python is a plus

- Prior experience with Hadoop, Hive, or other latest technologies is a big plus
