Job Description :
The company is looking for the right leader as Unit - HR Head for its Ballarpur Plant in Maharashtra. The total employee strength of this unit which consists of Management Staff, Workmen, Clerical, Casual, and Contract Labour is around 3000 employees. The incumbent will be responsible for steering and implementing industrial relation policies and unit HR function in order to maintain productivity, industrial peace and harmony
- Act as HR advisor for Unit management team on crucial people issues.
- Develop cordial relations with employees, union, community and Govt. authorities for industrial peace and harmony.
- Build a culture of achievement, excellence, creating a learning environment and vibrancy.
- Develop and implement employee welfare, communication, and administrative services in an effective manner.
- Ensure all HR systems and processes are adhered to and completed in a timely and transparent manner to establish credibility and contributions
- Develop HR Plans and strategy with the unit aligned with manufacturing objectives and corporate direction.
- Initiate measures and programmes to improve employee engagement and satisfaction score.
- Increase productivity of the plant by skill development, soft skills training and creating a very conducive environment for performance.
- Talent Management of the unit from recruitment to retirement i.e. talent acquisition, employee welfare and engagement, performance appraisals, and support in various OD initiatives driven by Corporate HR.
- Labour settlement reaping beneficial outcomes to the organization.
- Contract labour management.
- Managing the entire gamut of admin services including medical, estate, security, housekeeping etc. in cost effective manner ensuring delight to our internal customers.
- CSR activities around the plant for neighborhood management and community development.
- Ensure all HR systems and processes are adhered to and completed in a timely and transparent manner to establish credibility and contribution.
- Ensure speed, responsiveness and customer orientation in transaction management and services.

Person Requirements :
Qualification: MBA in HR/ M.S.W (Labour Welfare & Personnel Management). Degree in Law would be added advantage.
Experience: Around 22 - 25 years in manufacturing industry with a strong exposure in IR & union activities and adequate experience in handling various HR activities.
Location: Ballarpur (180 kms from Nagpur)
Reporting: Unit Head (CGM Level) & HR Head (VP Level)
Competencies :
- IR proficiency & HR sufficiency
- Administrative expert with budgetary cost control
- Leadership acumen & change management skills
- Interpersonal / networking skills with employees, labour authorities and other allied government functionaries.
- Proficiency in Marathi is a must.
CTC Budget : Around 25 lacs - 30 lacs
