Job Description / Responsibilities:

1. Research various partnerships and alliances through multiple channels in leisure lifestyle and travel.

2. Cold calling top potential brands to develop effective relationships with the view to closing the target number of contracts.

3. Negotiate deep discounts with large national, regional and local partners.

4. Accurate and appropriate communication with external partners at all times and that effective working relationships are maintained with all new, existing and previous BigCity partners and venues

5. Constant upgrades and improvements of our existing core products which revolve around travel, leisure and lifestyle.

6. Prepare feasibility reports following research and communications with prospective partners and handle product requests

7. Structure daily workflow according to relevant briefings and targets and maintain accurate and up to date records on external partners

8. Managing large key accounts and ensuring participation in negotiation pitches, and meetings to close tie ups with key decision makers of brands across various sectors.

9. Motivate, Inspire and drive the team to achieve their personal/group targets. Training the team on cold calls , negotiation skills etc to achieve the required impact among key decision makers

10. Strong understanding on finer workings of sectors such as travel, leisure and lifestyle among others to ensure that best practices and learning’s are implemented among the entire PD team.

11. Responsible for an aggressive bottom line target and also being a part of new product innovation, new product development, alternate revenue stream creation.

Desired profile of the candidate

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate the following traits

1. Experience in developing effective on-going and new relationships with external parties and can use the right methods and style of communication to bring about productive long term agreements and deep discounts with partners.

2. Ability to work well with internal colleagues and experience in managing teams and driving performance and scalability among teams.

3. Min of 5 years of experience in Business Development for Lifestyle, Leisure and Travel.

4. Experience in conducting research and a know how of presenting and using the findings effectively. Ensuring partners and alliances are suitable for BigCity promotions in terms of quality, value and volume.

5. Proactive and driven ensuring constant innovation, new product development, and creating new concepts from the ground up.

6. Experience in making large account negotiation pitches and wins in the Leisure, Lifestyle and Travel space in India.

7. Extraordinary communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are mandatory for this position.

8. Understanding of dynamics of Leisure, Lifestyle and Travel. in India – specifically Marketing heads, Business owners.

9. MBA from a premier institute (though not mandatory) will be preferred.

Working hours will range from 9:30AM to 18:30 PM on Monday – Friday and Saturday(s) if required. Location for current employment is in Bangalore (Kasturba Road).
