Big Data Analytics - Data Mining

Responsibilities :

- Develop and Optimize Algorithms and Models in the Big Data environments

- Develop Solutions and Execute Analytical projects using Machine Learning/Text Mining/Data Mining methodologies.

- Ensure Team Building and Capability Development for Big Data Analytics

- Become Subject Matter Experts in Big Data Analytics

Ideal candidate would have :

1. Well versed with the approaches, technologies to deliver Big Data Analytics Projects

2. Well versed with at least 3 of the following set of algorithms – a) Machine Learning/Text Mining Tools and Techniques, such as Clustering/Classification/ Decision Trees, Fuzzy Logic.

b) Support Vector Machine, Neural Networks.

c) Genetic Algorithms and Programming.

d) Graph Theory and Graph Algorithms.

e) Numerical Algorithms

3. Capable of identifying risks in Big Data solution delivery scenario

4. Solid analytical expertise with sound appreciation of commercial issues and a clear understanding of how business

- Overall 7+ years of hands-on experience in the Algorithms, Text Mining, Data Mining. Machine Learning algorithms and implementations, Data Structures; At least 2 years of experience in Big Data platforms (preferably Hadoop) and corresponding programming in Map-Reduce, PIG, Hive, HBase etc.

- Must have proven working knowledge on Hadoop or Other Distributed Computing Environments like Big Data Applications and/or IBM Big Data environments

- Experience in using Open Source Applications

- Must have good knowledge of Statistical techniques and its applications

- Must have decent knowledge on multi-threading programming

- Hands-on experience in at least 3 of the below

- NLP/Hadoop/Pig/Mahout
- Unix/PERL/Shell Scripting/ HTML/JavaScript
- Java /C++/C#/.NET Programming
- Python/Ruby on Rails
- SAS/R/STATISTICA/MATLAB/MATHEMATICA
