BUSINESS UNIT: Tendering (for Domestic &amp; International Consulting Projects) POSITION: BID MANAGER Location: Mumbai Qualifications: 1. Minimum Qualification: Diploma or BE (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering) 2. Post Graduate Diploma / MBA Qualification (specialization in Marketing/Digital Marketing/International Business Management), preferred Overall Experience: 1. Minimum 5 years continuous experience in any Multi-disciplinary Infrastructure consultancy firm, in area of Tendering for Domestics, as well as for International Consulting Projects 2. Overall Eight (08) years of experience shall be preferred, in tendering project involving multiple area of consulting services, namely - a) Transaction Advisory for Private Sector Participation; b) Architecture, c) Master Planning, d) Design Engineering, e) Energy Efficiency &amp; Renewable Energy, Environment, Cluster Development Project f) IT / ICT / Smart Solution 3. Experience of Bid Preparation &amp; Management for Consultancy Services for Multi-lateral and Bilateral Funded Consulting Projects in Indian-sub-continent; South-east Asia and Africa (Focus Countries namely, Botswana; Ethiopia; Ghana; Kenya; Nigeria; Namibia; Rwanda; Tanzania; Uganda; Zambia) 4. Thorough exposure to Procurement Guidelines and Bid preparation related workings as for Externally Aided Projects of World Bank - IBRD, ADB, AFD, KFW, UNDP; DFID, IFAD &amp; AFDB funded Consulting projects Job Description (Day to day activities shall involve): 1. Coordinating for bid preparation in discussion with Tender Initiators and Consulting Vertical Heads, on day today basis for specific project proposals/bids 2. Setting the processes and time-lines for E-tendering/e-bidding 3. Setting-up and Activating Tender Tracker System/Google Alert/other methods, as available from time-to-time 4. Prepare basic pre-Bid queries drafts and provide to Consulting Vertical Heads for Finalization 5. Analyzing Competitors downloaded bids for Market Intelligence &amp; Best Practices for Bid Preparation, and incorporating the same for bids being prepared by Tendering Team 6. Actively engaging in Bid Preparation related activities and formal communication for bids involving JV/Consortium/Sub-consultants, as partners, while in coordination with Consulting Vertical Heads, and Bid Process &amp; MIS In-charge 7. Finalizing Vendor/Sub-consultants/Consortium/JV Members Database and, Services &amp; performance Record, while working with Tender and MIS Team 8. Preparing and updating Project Description Sheets (in coordination with Consulting Vertical Heads); Screening &amp; Maintaining the database of In-house and External Experts CVs; Maintaining Database of Client Testimonials; Interim Certificates 9. Preparation and submission of the EOIs/ Technical proposals for the International &amp; Domestic Project Consultancy opportunities 10. Administering Tender filing related SAPs, on Just-in-time basis 11. Conducting and Coordinating for Weekly Conference Call with Consultancy Team for Domestic and International Project Tenders, supported with Weekly Tender Status MIS 12. Oversee all Activities of Tender Team, for its efficiency &amp; effectiveness, through training and capacity building 13. Follow up on proposals/bids submitted up to its logical conclusion and or, award of consultancy work, in coordination with Consulting Vertical Heads and Opportunity Owners, and maintaining a Tender Status MIS for both Domestic and International Projects. 14. Conducting detailed sector and company research relevant to Consultancy Proposals / Bids. Expected Skills: a. Good knowledge of Infrastructure Sector and Advisory business b. Excellent Documentation Skill c. Excellent Networking &amp; Relationship management skills d. Excellent Communication and writing skills e. Independent working f. Team Management Skills g. MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Travelling: As and when required for attending Pre-bid Conferences, for meetings with Consortium/JV/Sub-consultants firms; and to Client Office for follow-up of submitted bids.
