BIC Cello India - Legal Counsel - Compliance

We at BIC Cello (India) Pvt. Ltd. are looking for Legal Counsel - Compliance for our Daman Plant.

Purpose of Role: The position will be responsible for ensuring adherence to the Company's manufacturing operations to applicable laws, rules, regulations and internal business policies. In addition, this role will be responsible for local advocacy, engagement with regulators, building local networks.

Reporting to: General Counsel (india & APAC)

Areas of Responsibility :

- Partner with the business to ensure that business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures. Work closely with Business to identify and mitigate risks through embedding processes and protocols.

- Provide close support, guidance to the Greenfield Project execution team on topics related to permits, licenses, approvals, vendor compliance management, etc

- Responsible for the day-to-day management and ongoing development of the Compliance Function. From advisory, to documentation, to local advocacy and networking, to identifying and mitigating risk on an ongoing basis.

- Serve as liaison for regulators, legal bodies as well as maintaining relationships with relevant legal bodies and regulators.

- Business partner to Manufacturing HR team in management of employment-related matters in Daman / Greenfield

QUALIFICATIONS

- Graduate degree in Law with at least 5-7 years PQE

- Prior experience of managing Compliance in a manufacturing environment is a must. Fluency in Hindi is a must. Knowledge of Gujarati would be an advantage.
