To accelerate its presence across the country, BCPL is developing an online business marketplace, providing an inventory listing for commercial and passenger vehicles, simplifying the buying and selling process for customers, along with access to customized financing options from a wide network of empanelled banks and finance companies. By leveraging technology, financial expertise, and a customer-centric approach, BCPL would continue to strengthen its leadership in the NBFC sector.
The Role:
We're searching for a very competent and driven Product Management Consultant who would work with us part time initially to own end-to-end product definition and execution of a new product; to translate our vision into a focused product strategy, roadmap as well as definition and feature set; and oversee product development from conception to release of an MVP to market.
This would be a new product being conceptualized, built and taken to market for a very large addressable space in India. This individual would collaborate closely with an Outsourced Product Development (OPD) vendor and help hold them accountable to build a world-class product.
To excel in this position, we need someone who is passionate and experienced in building B2C or B2B2C products (ideally online marketplaces), is a great communicator, and simplifier. The individual should be able to identify, prioritize and detail out the most highly relevant product features. The role would have to balance uncertainties within a newly founded startup environment while delivering on the product vision.
Job Description:
- Define product vision, strategy, roadmap and feature set
- Internalize the business domain deeply, understand the market, perform product discovery, competitive analysis, etc, and help deliver a winning product
- Collaborate with the founding team to conceptualize the product and then execute in partnership with an Outsourced Product Development (OPD) vendor
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of proven experience as a Product Manager
- Startup experience important including conceptualizing and building a product from scratch
- B2C or B2B2C experience is a must
- Experience building marketplaces would be highly desirable
- Proven ability to develop a product vision, product strategy, product roadmap along with a detailed product backlog and feature definitions
- Technical background with strong experience in software development, web technologies and AI/ML and Generative AI
- Agile/SCRUM experience important
- Self motivated and self starter and highly mission driven
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills
- Location is flexible
