Bharti Infratel is a provider of tower and related infrastructure sharing services.We pioneered the tower infrastructure sharing concept in India. Including its 42% equity interest in Indus Towers, it is the market leader PAN India with 85,000 towers across telecom circles, many of which are in remote and tough terrains. Infratel helps its customers i.e. all telecom operators maximize their reach to more communities across the country.

We are looking for Circle Operations Head to lead the operations of Haryana and HP circle based out of Chandigarh.

Summary of the role :

Lead the circle operations to ensure site development & construction of towers within approved budget and legal/statutory requirements while adhering to the predetermined high quality standards and process adherence. Ensure speedy deployment and sharing of the sites to increase revenue.

Key Responsibility Areas :

Ensure high Revenue Generation :

- Manage day-to-day circle operations to ensure high profits for the company.

- Generate higher revenue from existing Infratel customers by targeted customer service.

- Prepare circle-level strategy to increase tenancy of towers

Monitor transfer of old sites and acquisition of new sites :

- Ensure effective acquisition of the site area through speedy resolution of the intervening issues.

- Supervise the site for its feasibility in terms of construction and connectivity.

- Ensure that all the legal and statutory documentation in relation to the site are in line with the Bharti Infratel and regulatory guidelines

Oversee development of the site and tower construction :

- Identify and recommend activities to be performed by in house teams and those that need to be outsourced.

- Direct the supply chain team for effective procurement of the material required for construction.

- Monitor the execution of the site development project within the approved budget.

Timely deployment of towers :

- Ensure efficient and timely deployment of the towers to meet revenue targets.

- Direct sales team to obtain maximum no. of customers to enhance revenues

Ensure effective operations and maintenance of the site :

- Direct the O&M team to plan and develop the maintenance schedule for the site.

- Ensure 24x7 operational functionality of the site.

- Initiate ways to reduce the operational expenditure at the site in consultation with the Regional Hub Head.

- Monitor adherence of quality control standards at the site.

- Understand and resolve issues on ground escalated by the subordinates.

Cost Management & reduction :

- Define OPEX budgets and ensure adherence to budgets by regular monitoring and analysis of expense data.

- Forecast expenditures; budget accordingly and drive cost sensitivity.

- Forecast scale up requirements well in time and provision budgets for the same.

Conduct relationship management with customers at the circle:

- Build and nurture professional relationships with all circle-based customers.

- Ensure effective and timely resolution of all customer queries and concerns.

- Touch base with the customer on regular basis to identify their needs and opportunities for developing business

Educational Qualifications : B.Tech/MBA/CA

Relevant Experience : 8 to 14 years of experience in managing circle level operations in telecom industry. Should have experience of managing 10-15 team members.
