Role title : Project Manager - Business Transformation
Main Purpose :
- The Project Manager is expected to drive several key projects/programs ranging from short-term wins to long-term, multi-million/multi-party/multi-country transformational initiatives. The candidate is expected to have strong stakeholder management competencies.
- The candidate is expected to drive data-related projects initially, hence a broad understanding of data landscapes/databases/replication/transaction systems will be required. Insurance domain will be a definite advantage, as several report building phases of the project will involve technical returns to be filed to the regulator.
- Knowledge of Big data/Data lake work streams will be a plus.
Key Activities :
- Deliver Projects On-scope, On-time, On-Budget, and to required quality
- Cross functional collaboration across teams, and functions to drive projects through to completion
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication of Project situations to a variety of senior executives (CXOs).
- Organize/Chair operational/steering meetings, collate status/progress of tasks/issues/risks for reporting, and communication to all project stakeholders. Prepare presentations, spreadsheets, correspondence and other appropriate documents, as may be necessary from time to time.
- Ensure follow up items for all meetings are recorded and closure is tracked.
- Manage/ Lead/ Participate in other key business projects and provide updates.
Knowledge/Skills :
- Staying on top of new technologies - Well-versed with Data warehouse, BI, Big Data concepts
- Proficient in project management skills - Certification / work experience in managing projects preferred.
- Good Understanding of Insurance industry strongly preferred
- Highly proficient with the Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Projects
Result Areas :
- Create detailed Project Schedule
- Determine/Forecast resources (Men, Money, Machine) required for the Project
- Review, and agree Planning with all stakeholders. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure success
- Establish a communication plan to update stakeholders
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the agreed standards
- Escalate/De-escalate Project issues in a timely manner, and secure decisions
- Document, Track, and manage risks. Ensure Project Accounting (Budget vs Actuals)
Qualifications & Experience : 5-8 years of work experience & UG/PG from a reputed University / College. Should have handled at least 2-3 projects end-to-end.
- PMP/PRINCE 2 certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Team reporting would be finalized basis the experience of the candidate
