The Head UPI business plays a vital role in driving the profitability, growth, and success of BharatPe's QR/UPI business.
By closely collaborating with internal teams, monitoring competitor activities, and engaging with external stakeholders such as NPCI, this role ensures that the QR/UPI business remains competitive, aligned with industry standards, and meets the evolving needs of merchants. The manager & efforts in optimizing the QR/ UPI business, enhancing merchant satisfaction, and driving new use cases and features directly impact the organization & financial performance, market position, and overall customer experience. Play a critical role in shaping the organization & QR business strategy and driving its success through effective collaboration, innovation, and execution.
Responsibilities will include:
Functional Expertise:
1. Collaborate with internal product, sales, and bank teams to ensure profitability and success of the QR business.
2. Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and merchant needs to identify opportunities for product improvements and enhancements.
3. Maintain a strong understanding of the QR/UPI product and monitor competitor activities related to product enhancements and transaction success rates.
4. Drive business growth and measure success based on increased P&L for the QR/UPI business, merchant satisfaction in terms of settlements and service, and the creation of new use cases and features on the merchant app.
5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, proactively addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
6. As the QR/UPI Business Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our speaker business, which is integral to our merchant engagement strategy. The deployment of speakers at merchant outlets is a crucial aspect of ensuring transaction confirmation and enhancing merchant stickiness. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to outperform competitors, innovate in pricing and services, and expand our customer base, ultimately driving profitability.
7. Develop and implement a comprehensive speaker business strategy aligned with the company & overall goals and objectives.
8. Develop strategies to surpass competitors, considering pricing, service quality, and innovation.
9. Formulate pricing strategies that are competitive and sustainable, taking into account market dynamics and cost considerations.
10. Drive innovation in speaker technology and services to stay ahead of the competition and meet evolving customer demands by adding value plus services.
11. Oversee the deployment of speakers at merchant outlets, ensuring efficient and timely installation and ensuring adequate stocks are maintained at different warehouse locations.
12. Collect feedback from merchants and leverage it to improve speaker services and overall merchant experience.
13. Monitor the financial performance of the speaker business segment, including revenue, costs, and profitability.
Problem Solving:
1. Collaborate with sales teams to identify potential merchants, onboard them onto the QR/UPI platform, and drive merchant adoption and engagement.
2. Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement strategies that optimize the QR/UPI business, including pricing, merchant onboarding, and marketing initiatives.
3. Conduct market research to identify opportunities, threats, and industry trends related to speaker deployments.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address deployment challenges and streamline processes.
Interaction:
1. Engage with the NPCI team to facilitate product-level changes and ensure alignment with NPCI policies and guidelines.
2.This role ensures that the QR/UPI business remains competitive, aligned with industry standards, and meets the evolving needs of merchants
Challenges & Decisions:
- Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement strategies that optimize the UPI/Speaker business, including pricing, merchant onboarding, and marketing initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and merchant needs to identify opportunities for product improvements and enhancements.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify potential merchants, onboard them onto the UPI/Speaker platform, and drive merchant adoption and engagement.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the UPI/speaker business, such as transaction volume, revenue growth, merchant satisfaction, and customer retention.
Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, technology, or a related field is required. An MBA or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
- 10+ Years experience with 5+ relevant in driving Payment business preferably offline business.
- Strong understanding of the product/USP's in devices markets for UPI/QR/Speaker
