Beyondsoft - Business Analyst - COBOL

Location: Hyderabad, India

- The business analyst is responsible for analyzing and modeling existing business processes. The goal of business process analysis is to understand and document current business procedures and identify areas for improvement.

- The business analyst uses modeling tools to document the current state of business processes as well as the desired future state. The business analyst is responsible for the knowledge transfer of business implications to the application/database developers and project managers.

Role Responsibilities:

- Business Requirements finalization and defining the scope of the project

- Gap Analysis

Solution Design:

- Propose solutions based on business requirements and work with Developers/Testers to implement the solution

- Support the team during the Unit Testing, SIT and UAT

Quality Management:

- Ensures that all tasks carried out comply with procedures, mandatory quality standards and agreed testing standards and strategy

- Prepare SOW and Functional Specifications for business initiatives

- Manage budget and demand for initiatives and releases

- Perform status reporting of initiatives and releases

- Participate in review of system design

- Work with development & production support managers to ensure timely resolution to production issues

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or relevant studies

- Minimum 4 to 10 years of relevant experience as Business Analyst in Technical area

- Experience working on COBOL

- Familiar with modern application design using micro-services and use of CI/CD tools such as GIT, JIRA

- Previous hands-on experience in coding and have track record of successful implementations using these technologies

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies

- Experience in project management will be added advantage
