- Better is looking for a self-driven person to help us build, maintain, and oversee our growing library of SaaS apps. This person will work strategically with our Infrastructure and IT Support teams to make sure our IT practices stay aligned with business needs. The ideal candidate is a customer-service driven, technical person who can balance day-to-day operations with a majority of project-based work. This person should be comfortable making decisions that will have impact company wide. Responsibilities will include: Manage regional IT Support services, the extent of your duties will include but not be limited to: - Co- manage multi-locations teams of technical resources providing 24x7 remote and deskside services to customers and support to other functions in the organization. - Update, maintain and enforce IT best practices, policies, and procedures - Ensuring that IT support and troubleshooting is carried out to a high standard and follows Better policies and guidelines - Maintaining constant communication with Global Head of IT and the US IT support team - Leading the coordination of trouble tickets to strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs), - Ensure everyone in your team takes real IT Ownership, ensuring effective reporting while working towards efficient, internal customer satisfaction, - Lead Operations reviews of IT services covering Customer Satisfaction, SLA performance, Provide Sr. management with operational metrics (Ageing tickets, Tickets quality, IT asset management and tracking, - Lead and mentor IT team in India hours and shifts: this will include staff and team scheduling - Occasional travel will be required. - Mentor and coach team members especially as it relates to effectively communicating with each other and our customers. - Provide career mentoring and guidance to team members About you: - A technical bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is necessary. - 10+ years of Industry experience including 5+ years of people management (multiple locations) - Previous, relevant IT management experience in a financial environment - Strong communicator and liaison Project management skills, alongside the ability to deal effectively with all levels of company seniority, in a variety of situations, - Previous help desk / technical support experience and/or previous Service Delivery and Service Level Management experience, - ITIL certifications preferred - Experience in procurement, inventory, and asset management of IT equipment, as well as the overall IT lifecycle - Strong analytical skills, along with validated problem-solving ability, are both a necessity, - Some networking knowledge and expertise, specifically LAN / WAN and wireless, - A good understanding of IT infrastructure and networking - An understanding of core internet technologies, including DHCP, DNS, mail transport, TCP/IP and network file systems, - Telecom knowledge, including VOIP as well as mobile technologies
