Main Responsibilities :
The Sales & Brand Controlling function is responsible for Planning, MIS reporting and Controlling at NIVEA India corporate level
Detailed responsibilities :
Ensure hygiene of system planning and reporting data by ensuring accuracy of reporting in global tools. Lead Statutory and group reporting of Purchases & Inventory
Refresh monthly business forecast with S&OP numbers to generate gap analysis vs the annual target and work with cross functional teams for closure of the gaps. Prepare monthly template for Finance review with Management
Leading the IIM New product launches evaluation & financials, benchmarking with competition. Ensuring launch financials submitted on time for evaluation by Global brand controlling
3rd Party Manufacturers (3PM) steering by support on costing, Purchase price variance on procurement from 3PM, BOM evaluation & benchmarking
Import margin steering by reviewing the imported product cost breakup & BOM evaluation
India factory (PC) margin steering by reviewing the costing and margins of the products including deep dive of the cost breakup by creating shadow costing, spec. benchmarking. Working closely with factory/HO and global procurement team. Act as a link between PC and DC commercial controlling teams
Inventory Tracking at Warehouses, VAS locations & PC and control over slow moving/ obsolete inventory
Lead Make Vs Buy decision making, allocation decisions
Supply chain reporting, WOC analysis and control
Leading the business discussion with Brand manager and category heads with Brand wise variance/SKU wise analysis for successful business results
Monitoring of brand sales growth and profitability and drive gatekeeper meeting
Control the pricing of the products by leading the value pricing model, benchmark with competition and margin expectations
Effectively drive assortment management and SKU rationalization
Tracking Supply chain savings initiatives and highlighting deviations/ opportunities to the Management team
Put internal control checks and documentation with audit trail including process standardization for non-budgeted activities
Conduct monthly Gatekeeper meetings to discuss business performance with all stakeholders and discuss open issues and new proposals
SUCCESSFUL PERFORMANCE REQUIRES :
Analytical and logical reasoning
Good understanding of FMCG business environment
Exposure to Financial Accounting and Management Reporting
Accounting knowledge and in-hand experience
First hand experience in controlling & business decision support
Self drive, motivated and accountable
Good inter-personal skills and demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
Willingness to travel and mobility
Ability to work and deliver in ambiguous environment with challenging timelines
Process orientation and controls
REQUIRED :
Education: B.Com. + MBA / CA with 2-3 years relevant experience (FMCG / Consumer Durables / Retail background preferred)
PC Know-how : Excellent MS-Office skills (especially advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint), Quick grasp of accounting-software (SAP preferred)
Languages : Excellent command of spoken and written English
