BDO RISE - Technical Architect

The Technical Architect leads teams while architecting projects using cutting edge application development technology, delivers high quality solutions across various industries working on holistic development projects that range in size and scope. This role performs design, architecture, and technical leadership of a team doing development and unit testing of software solution. - Software Architecture: Leads, architects, and defines the technical architecture for new and existing software solutions

- Software Design: Designs solutions to provide maximized business value and delivers strong business agility, while meeting both business and technical requirements

- Consulting: Manages and oversees client needs, analyzes best practices and plays an integral part in defining and proposing business value solutions, to meet or exceed client expectations

- Implementation and Support: Manages and performs software deployments and establishes ongoing software support of software applications

Sales Support:

- Participate in qualified sales meetings

- Define scope and estimates

- Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Development Team Lead: Responsible for design and technical oversight of a team of developers

- Technical Strategy Lead: Responsible for development and maintenance of technical implementation strategy

- Mentoring and Coaching: Responsible for training and mentoring strategy to grow technical capabilities within the team, potential to lead direct teams as needed

Project Oversight:

- Leads a team of developers within projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are met

- Responsible for time reporting accuracy and oversees the technical management of projects

- Performs code reviews and ensures adherence to standards

Education:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, required; degree with a focus in Computer Science, preferred

Experience:

- Ten (10) or more years of software development experience, required

- Four (4) or more years of technically leading development projects, required

- Professional experience coding with C#, Microsoft Development Platforms, SQL and SQL Server, required

- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), required

- Ability to write and optimize SQL queries, required

- Two (2) or more years producing technical designs (artifacts), preferred

Experience with the following, required:

- .Net, C#, SQL, SQL Server, Azure

Experience with any of the following preferred:

- Mobile development and/or Xamarin,

- Angular

- React

- Python

- Developing with SharePoint solutions

- Java

- JavaScript, CSS, or HTML

- AWS
