Job Responsibilities :

- Fully understands Finance & Accounting functions (e.g. AP, Cash Apps, GA, FA, A/R, etc.) and common best practices/processes for how they operate, as well their interactions in an F&A lifecycle.

- Manages the delivery of all F&A services for assigned engagements including the planning, execution and management of month end close deliverables.

- Completes analytical reviews and drafts narrative reviews of financial results.

- Supports general ad hoc reporting requests.

- Coordinates audit preparation and responds to information requests to support tax filings.

- Coordinate preparations of compliance filings.

- Manages annual reporting and compliance calendar.

- Supervises the day-to-day workload of the team; manages task assignments; reviews final work product on assigned engagements and provides guidance to engagement resources.

- Ensures that team members are charging time accurately to engagement codes.

- Interacts effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm, including onshore engagement teams; demonstrates the capability to build and maintain strong relationships across the practice.

- Onboards new BSO team members to BDO RISE working in conjunction with local HR, L&D and onshore engagement leads.

- Assists team members in developing goals to enhance their professional development in alignment with Firm and BSO objectives.

- Acts as Career Advisor and evaluates staff performance as appropriate.

- Supports the on-boarding of new BSO engagements into BDO RISE through the development and execution of end user training plans.

- Ensures team compliance to Firm and engagement policies and procedures.

- Other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

- Responsible for supervising BSO resources at BDO RISE for selected engagements.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Management required, Master's degree preferred.

- Professional certifications (CA, ICWA, CMA etc.) a plus.

Experience :

- Seven (7) or more years of experience delivering services for and managing F&A functions required.

- Three (3) or more years of direct supervisory experience managing F&A service delivery teams required.

- Experience working in an outsourced operations environment required.

- Demonstrated understanding of US GAAP and financial statement preparation.

- Month end close management experience required.

- Prior experience managing financial accounting activities for higher education institutions a plus

- Proven ability to lead a team in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously, while focusing on productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

Software :

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).

- Proficiency working with pdf documents.

- Prior experience working with Accounting ERP systems such as Ellucian Banner, Sage Intacct, Oracle Netsuite
