Experience:

Must Have

- Chartered Accountant with post qualification experience in the field of corporate tax/Direct tax for 5 to 8 years

- Thorough understanding of the Indian Income Tax Law

- Basic understanding of Indirect tax laws

- Basic understanding of International tax laws

- Should have independently handled tax compliance and litigation mandates

- Should have experience of working on tax filing tools, accounting systems

- Need to have excellent command on Excel

- Should have had audit experience (in initial career), preferably

- Project management skills - Must have handled multiple engagements and teams

Good to Have

- Understanding of databases and systems

- Experience of working on Tax Technology projects

- Industry tax experience

- Ability to visualise/anticipate undocumented situations/scenarios

Role and Responsibilities:

- Lead Software Development Project from a tax team perspective

- Ideate tax data source to report process

- Own specifications to be shared with the software development team

- Identifying and facilitating necessary process and technology modifications resulting from tax law or regulatory changes, etc.

- Assist with tax process improvements projects, which may include software implementation, automation, or workpaper improvement and ongoing continuous process improvement

- Evaluate, implement and maintain emerging tax technologies

- Proactively identifying and facilitating necessary process and technology modifications resulting from tax law or regulatory changes, etc.

- Develop and deliver end user training and maintain user documentation of all trainings in latest technologies

- Maintain tax automation and reporting tools

- Facilitate client meetings and collaborate with tax technology team members on client deliverable's

- Acquire in-depth knowledge of internal and external tax technology solutions

- Develop new tax technology solutions

- Perform other duties as assigned

- Conceptualise and develop collaterals
