Role Purpose

- This role is required to identify and develop new clients pan India. The purpose of the Business Development Manager would be to raise awareness and understanding among target audiences, build profile and relationships and identify and set successful strategic direction.

- The BD Manager will be responsible for driving key Strategic Programmes across the business to ensure the support of delivery of exceptional client service and drive business development.

- The manager is responsible for positioning and championing the BDO brand, internally and externally through corporate marketing campaigns, business partnerships which promote the range of BDO services to a multi-sector audience.

Principal Accountabilities

Corporate Campaigns

- Seek and consider opportunities to work with complementary organisations such as industry bodies

- Lead strategic corporate marketing campaigns and business partner relationships

- Engage senior stakeholders

- Manage relationship with any third parties involved

- Evaluate success, track and report ROI

Key account management programmes

- Work with various Business Unit Partners to coach Client / Target Managers on setting goals and running Managed Client / Target meetings

- Monitor and maintain data on Managed Clients / Target / other affinity programmes

National Marketing Campaigns.

- Develop a corporate marketing plan which includes activities that can be leveraged across the firm

- Look at BDO’s overall brand positioning and how this can evolve in order to achieve mid-market leadership

- Enhance the BDO brand through projects which support the firm’s strategy of exceptional client service

International

- Support the international liaison partner by delivering campaigns which promote BDO’s services to those companies wishing to do business overseas and highlight the breadth of BDO’s international network

- Leverage relationships with key external stakeholders such as the BDO International

- Support the positioning of the India brand within the International BDO network, seeking and sharing best practice examples

Technical Knowledge, Professional Qualifications and Experience

- MBA (Marketing) from a Tier 1 / 2 schools only.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Proven people management skills and able to lead a multi-functional team

- Able to build strong and meaningful relationships with stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally

- Over three years experience in a BD role (Four to five years preferable)

Personal Characteristics

- A proactive and driven approach with the ability to influence internal stakeholders at all levels

- Strong organisation, planning, analytical and project management skills

- Strong Presentation abilities

- Maturity and confidence in handling senior stakeholders

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, must be assertive, articulate and persistent

- Location – Mumbai
