One of our client – a reputed International University with office in India is looking for a Business Development Manager. The profile would be as below:
Position Description:
Position Title : Manager – Marketing & Recruitment
Responsible to Senior Manager, Business Development (India)
Position purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Senior Manager, Business Development (India) in all activities to implement the marketing plan of the University in India.
Summary:
Manager – Marketing & Recruitment is a member of staff of the University. The position holder may frequently act as the public face of the University when liaising with agents network in India.
Organisational Relationship:
The position communicates on a daily basis with staff within the Faculty Staff at the University. Within the University, this position interacts with Faculty administrative staff, academic staff and Student Societies.
Externally, the incumbent is also required to liaise with students, and prospective partner institutions, through answering enquiries, undertaking visits and when organizing careers events on campus.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Meet allocated targets and key responsibilities assigned
- Manage the allocated Agent Network and ensure that each of the agent (including each branch office respectively) is trained and updated on University and its courses to maximise enrolments
- Counsel prospective students extensively on academic requirements
- Participate in all promotional activities and in the Annual Marketing Plan and as directed by the Senior Manager Business Development (India)
- Ensure that each and every lead and / or application received by the office is processed as per guidelines and that the entire loop is completed – follow approved flowchart
- Provide market feedback and updates on a regular basis
- Support the team including admissions, counselling and data entry.
Essential Criteria:
Training/Qualifications (or equivalent experience):
A post graduate degree in Management and / or a combination of relevant experience. Knowledge of the Indian education industry will be an advantage.
Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience and broad knowledge in a related field (Overseas Education/International University)
Skills/Techniques:
- A strong customer focused attitude including enthusiasm, tact and a desire to achieve a positive outcome, and the ability to communicate with a culturally diverse range of clients
- Sound administrative and organisational skills with strong IT skills including a sound knowledge of web based tools and the Microsoft Office package
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including empathy and clarity of expression in both written and oral form
- Ability to develop, plan and facilitate group sessions
- Effective research skills.
- Capacity to work to tight timelines and demonstrated strong project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative work teams.
Desirable Experience:
- Good network within the education Industry in India
- Marketing/promotions experience
- Must be willing to travel extensively
Location of Work : South Delhi, India
Salary: Negotiable, approx. INR 7 to 8 lacs per annum
