Manager - Business Development
Our client is an internationally-sponsored Clinical Research Organization (CRO) based in India since 2010, conducting clinical trials across the globe. Their clients are some of the largest cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies based in US and Europe. In India, they we are currently focusing on skin disorders, cosmetics and other aspects of dermatology.
Role
- Establishing and building relationships with potential clients globally as well as in India with the objective of getting new clinical trial business from them and growing revenue line.
Responsibilities
- You will be trained to understand the requirements of the clients, developing a sales strategy and implementing the strategy through direct interaction with potential clients. As a result, you will need to develop a good understanding of the CRO industry, specifically in derma-cosmetics, and familiarize with all the technical aspects of the various services of the client.
- The marketing tools will be yours to handle. You will therefore need to prepare and update promotional material of the CRO including website, brochures, handouts and PowerPoint presentations.
- You will build relationships for the CRO from the pharma industry and manage liaison with sponsors you will need to constantly develop and maintain a strong network of sponsors and key contacts in the pharma and derma industry to get new business.
- You will assist the COO in preparation of business proposals, presentations as well as the preparation of the annual revenue budget.
- Additionally, you will participate in relevant conferences along with the COO across Asia, Europe and the US. Coordinating with different vendors for stall arrangements and other logistics for participation in conferences is also necessary.
- While client interaction and periodic follow up over email or in person is critical, a large part of your time will be dedicated to desktop research focusing on finding potential sponsors via their products, trials, dermatologists or otherwise.
- Continuously interact with scientific team to ensure optimal utilization of in-house capacity, smooth flow of logistics and adherence to committed timelines
- To interface between our client and sponsors and ensure timely provision of all client-related requests for query-resolution, quotations, agreements, protocols, equipment details and reports
Skills:
- Extremely resourceful, excellent on-line research skills and the ability to distinguish what’s important from what’s not
- Ability to communicate effectively in written as well as excellent spoken English.

- Highly efficient and productive
