About our Client - Our client is one of the leading food and commodity trading businesses globally with multi billion dollars in revenue. They have a significant presence here in the India market, and are growing exponentially over the years. They are widely regarded as pioneers in the space, and are currently looking to expand their product portfolio. They are looking to hire a Business Development Manager (Merchant) - Wheat, based out of their corporate head quarters in Delhi NCR.
Job Description - Reporting to the Business Head, you will be responsible for end to end category management for the wheat portfolio of products, including back end and front end functions. From a back end perspective, you will be liaising with various cross functional teams (supply chain, operations etc) to establish the sourcing and procurement aspect of the work. And from a front end perspective, you will be responsible for identifying potential buyers and ensure sales and business development. You will also be responsible for identifying macro economic trends and deciphering business plans for the organization.
The Successful Candidate - You will be a post graduate with around 3-5 years of experience in core commodity trading and business development roles. Prior experience in Wheat is a must, and you should have knowledge of the domestic origination and procurement market. The client is looking for someone with excellent sales, business development and commercial acumen, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
