Position Overview:
Chief Business Officer (CBO) directs in sales force effectiveness and manages functions essential to sales force productivity. These include planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program implementation, sales compensation design, coordination with the branding team, product positioning and administration, recruiting and selection of sales force talent. This position is responsible for the overall sales activity, generation of leads through various channels, Ensure the development of all strategic product road-maps and corresponding marketing plans, productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization. Reporting to the Managing Director directly, fosters close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sales organization's efficient operation and success.
Job responsibilities:
- Jointly working with the CEO to chalk out a growth strategy and business plan for the company to meet its vision and goals.
- Building out a robust sales and business development strategy for the company.
- Nurturing the right partnerships and building the eco-system for BASIC that enables greater visibility in the market and high-velocity lead flow
- Participating in management meetings and senior leadership discussions on key strategic matters
- Understanding the role of technology in fulfilling BASIC's vision; Building the sales and business development function that fully leverages the company's existing technology and also planned technology roll-outs in the future.
- Building a cohesive risk management strategy across customer life-cycle - from lead generation to collections.
- Building innovative products and segments in line with the company's vision to maximize penetration of BASIC's core leasing product into the target markets.
- Strategizing business growth initiatives implementing and monitoring Plans for domestic business.
- Increase sales growth and drive Sales and Distribution initiatives in order to achieve business goals.
- Projecting the periodical Sales Targets for the sales team and other distribution channels
- Growing sales in the market by identifying and creating new business segments, channels and areas
- Identifying new market segments for achieving targets and optimizing the revenue.
- Maintaining cordial business relationship with key decision makers for consistency in business.
- Organize & implement various sales promotional activities, campaigns and Corporate Presentations.
- Creating effective distribution models and channels for Consumer Finance Products
- Manage quantity sales without compromising on quality and customer service.
- Develop & coach the sales team to achieve their business goals effectively & efficiently
- Conduct periodical meets to reward the talents and motivate the team.
- Conduct workshops, meetings and Seminars in all Areas as and when required
- Prepare and submit plans, budgets, progress reports periodically
- Guide and motivate team for efficient performance giving them a visible career growth plan
- Research competitors' products/services and Stay up-to-date with the industry regulatory updates
- Develop goals and objectives, projects and priorities and assign them to Sales Managers
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing sales quotas for Products & Services
- Aggregates and analyzes periodical sales data and reports to management for decision making
- Develop and conduct sales campaigns, as well as marketing and promotional plans
- Develop in-market tactics & strategies to grow the brand and increase volume against competitors
- Develop promotional initiatives for business growth & remain competitive against other brands.
- Meets regularly with partners to develop market plans and provide support.
- Participates and represents the brand at industry specific events, conferences, expos, seminars, etc.

Qualification:
MBAs (full time from a reputed institute)
Experience :
15-20 years relevant experience in Sales & Distribution with BFSI sector. Must have proven track record in heading Sales & Distribution in Housing Finance business. Relevant experience from Affordable Housing Finance companies will be an added advantage.
