Manager - Operations
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Providing leadership and direction to the local Operations team - be a part of local leadership team
- Recruiting, hiring and helping onboard new team members
- Setting individual performance goals for team members and supporting them to achieve their career goals
- Communicating realistic expectations to team members as well as other teams within Barracuda
- Being a primary escalation point for incident response and alert and outage remediation
- Managing incoming team workloads, and setting priority focus as needed
- Maintaining and evolving existing services and infrastructure
- Managing and evolving tools and services as required
- Providing 7x12 infrastructure, services and product support on-call coverage working with teams globally
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
- 2+ experience managing technical teams of 5 - 10 individuals, preferably in an operations environment
- Strong technical background, including 5 + years as part of operations or SRE team with demonstrated experience in the public cloud, Linux administration, networking and storage
- Experience in project management
- Excellent communication skills both spoken and written English
- Ability to work independently as part of a globally distributed team
- High attention to detail and a collaborative work ethic
Qualifications And Education Requirements :
- B.S. in Computer science or management or equivalent experience
