Barclays - Vice President - Project Management

What will you be doing?

- Manage multiple project teams to deliver outcomes, planning and managing resources and interdependencies.

- Set up ways of working within the Value Stream, with some components delivering iteratively whilst others delivering in a more traditional programmatic manner.

- Establish project ceremonies (daily stand up, Sprint planning, Sprint retrospective and Sprint review)

- Manage and own the delivery governance in line with Technology Application Development Standards (TADS) and the Lean Conrol Process (LCP).

- Manage across TC boundaries, ensuring interlock with delivery plan.

- Manage dependencies across other programmes of work within NGCB.

- Manage resourcing requests and PWRs where appropriate

- Manage priorities alongside the Product Owner

- Providing and regularly reviewing an honest, transparent assessment of the programme status and RAIDs of the initiative

- Acting in partnership with the programme leadership team, using their experience and insight to help engage senior leaders, maintain a focus on delivering outcomes, remove blockers and resolve risks and issues and deploy appropriate governance and oversight of delivery.

- Creating an environment of effective delivery by empowering the programme team, leveraging their knowledge and expertise, learning lessons from past delivery, driving accountability and transparency and encouraging debate to find the right answer. Ensure all team members understand their roles and celebrate success.

- A proven delivery lead who is comfortable both in the technical detail and overseeing delivery across a wide range of teams.

- A knowledge of both agile and traditional project delivery methods.

- An advocate of people centric leadership and using servant leadership to create the conditions for success.

- Strong communication skills and experience in both leading a team and providing senior updates.

- A strong advocate and practioner of Diversity and Inclusivity.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Professionally recognised Project/Programme management qualification or previous relevant experience.

- A high level understanding of cloud technology (AWS) would be beneficial.

- Ability to work within a regulated and controlled environment.
