Vice President - BFS Product Engineer

What will you be doing?

- Provide technical leadership as lead developer and manage a team of network automation developers to deliver the key requirements for the team

- Work closely with stakeholders to assist in creating and maintain the technical strategy and roadmap for Network Automation use cases

- Work with key stakeholders and customers to understand requirements, and define appropriate solutions for Network Automation

- Takin ownership of key deliverables for the team and ensuring the success of these projects

- Assist the DevOps portion of the team to work with Operations to schedule configuration and bulk change release cycles to be developed and deployed to the network

- Work with senior stakeholders in engineering to ensure there is a pipeline of standardisation delivered to the automation team

- Ensure's the team provides rigorous testing and certification of automation tools and scripts to meet the defined process

- Continually assess market capabilities and industry best practices to ensure Barclays is adopting the most relevant network automation tools and strategies

- Ensure product standards comply to all relevant security, compliance and audit policies and regulations

What we're looking for:

- Strong hands-on experience of working with Python, Django, PostgreSQL.

- Strong hands-on experience of working with infrastructure automation tools, preferably Ansible

- Strong working knowledge of GIT, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools.

- Ability to develop programs using REST API to a controller northbound interface.

- Excellent understating and hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of network devices such as NSX, Routers. Switches, load balancers, firewalls, proxies, DNS servers, Wireless Controllers and AP, Voice Gateways, WAN links, etc.

- Cisco Catalyst Switches

- Cisco Nexus 7k/5k/2k Switches

- Cisco Nexus 9k Switches (NX-OS and ACI)

- Cisco ASR / ISR Routers

- Cisco ASA Firewalls

- Cisco CSP hypervisor

- VMWARE Hypervisor

- F5 Big-IP Appliances

- AVI Load Balancer

- Excellent understanding with monitoring/collector protocols such as SNMP Polls and Traps, Syslog, NetFlow, Streaming Telemetry, NetConf/RestConf for state data, etc.

- Experience of having worked with CMDB platforms and an understanding of Enterprise level network management platforms.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- CCIE R&S or CCIE DC certified

- Experience in operating in a Scrum/Agile/SDLC environment

- VRA/O and NSX-T hands on experience

- Hands-on experience of working with AWS services such as - EC2, Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, ELB, Secrets Manager, etc.

- Working knowledge of Linux systems in terms of daemons, services, file system, rpm packages, etc.
