Barclays - Assistant Vice President - QA Engineer - Credit DSP

What will you be doing ?

- Validate all aspects of software development including design, analysis and implementation of all software, related to the core data applications

- Analyse new requirements to find the most appropriate validation approach and implement those in time manner

- Identify and Track bug throughout Testing phase

- Maintain test documentation, record test progress and result

- Building and maintain Test Automation Framework for regression testing and internal data source

- Take responsibility and ownership of all QA aspect

- Expected to be an excellent communicator (verbal and written) and collaborator, and have strong organization skills with ability to liaise with technical and non-technical resources

- Must be able to work with a global team (US, UK and others )

- Maintain existing applications and resolve any issues in timely fashion.

- Should be able to work in high pressure situations and interact with business and other teams.

What we are looking for :

- Experience of Manual and Automated testing

- High attention to detail

- Hands on experience on Regression Test automation with Python, Pytest

- Knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL) and scripting

- Excellent Data Analysis skill.

- Excellent Analytical and Problem solving skills

- Solid Understanding of QA testing environment.

- Should be a good team player and work in high pressure environments

- Multitaksing to handle multiple different testing request.

- Ability to embrace and quickly learn new technologies and highly self-motivated with a confident - do the right thing- attitude

Skills that will help you in the Role :

- Knowledge of Equities and Derivatives would be helpful

- Experience of woring with market data will plus

- Working knowledge of shell script

- Experience in agile project delivery

- Experience of KDB (preferred)

- Must have an extremely high attention to detail

- Must be able to multi-task efficiently

- Overall should be confident, enthusiastic and proactive

- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Front Office and Business Functions.

- Must be able to communicate effectively with other project team members, including Technology, business and Compliance teams at all levels, gauging the level of technical knowledge of the audience in these communications

- Have an inquisitive nature; able to work independently to take a problem, break it down, recognise additional questions and find solutions.

- Highly organised, structured and result driven

- Must be able to organise and run meetings efficiently

- Ability to escalate issue to management as appropriate

- Must be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and excellence

- Should have an excellent appreciation of the software quality lifecycle
