Baker Tilly DHC - Assistant Manager - Statutory Audit

The Job responsibilities:

- The incumbent is expected to work on various stages of the audit, including execution in the areas of compliance testing, cash, accounts receivable, inventories, fixed assets, accounts payable and accruals and will be responsible for the below:

- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements.

- Interaction with clients.

- Execution of work as per the Firm's Policies and review of areas carried out by executing the instructions of the seniors/team leaders for various assignments.

- Reporting the work progress to seniors/team leaders on a regular basis.

- Filing and documentation as per Audit Manual.

- Adherence to office procedures, rules & regulations, follow up for fees and TDS certificates.

Competencies:

- In-depth knowledge of Indian Accounting standards as per ICAI Guidelines.

- The ability to apply complete areas of auditing principles to client situations.

- The ability to understand transactional flow and key transition cycles.

- The ability to make constructive suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures.

- The ability to identify preventive and detective controls and to corroborate system notes

- A basic knowledge of the audit software - Caseware used by the firm.

Academic Qualification:

- C.A. (preferably first attempt)

- Certification required - membership number allotted by ICAI completion of GMCS course

- Preference for CISA/DISA Qualified.

Experience:

- Articleship from a mid or large sized firm.

- Out of total yrs of Articleship experience, minimum 1.5-2 yrs of experience should have statutory audit exposure.

- 3-4 yrs of post qualification experience in Statutory audits of preferred industry.

- Sector specific experience preferred eg. NBFC/Banking etc.
