Job purpose & Scope
Responsible for driving P&L of the respective categories/ product (NPI & NPD) & product marketing strategy for Morphy Richards Business, pan India.
Major Areas of Responsibilities & Authorities
PRODUCT MANAGEMENT:
- Sustain existing categories/ products top-line & bottom-line
Conceptualize, develop & launch new product portfolio for the given calendar year, and manage the product life-cycle
- Liaison with Research & Development team to develop new products/ categories
- Create roadmap for innovation & new developments for the year
- Regularly interface with pan India sales team and top management to drive business objectives
- Maintain inventory levels as per norms with close control on production as well as inventory allocation for pan India
- Complete ownership of product/ category P&L and throughput delivery as per annual business plan
- Maintain the product value chain, with close control on product/ category
- Develop product pricing strategy, channel margins & schemes
- Track competition brands on monthly basis with key benchmarking parameters
MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS:
- Identify market positioning for each new product & execute product marketing plans.
- Liaison with brand marketing team to ensure execution of creative & media plans as per business objective.
- Develop consumer promos & festive schemes for trade as well as consumers.
BUSINESS DRIVE:
- Track business performance on monthly basis & review sales performance
- Develop sales analytics with detailed study on branch performance, category performance & SKU performance
- Monitor P&L to control product/ category throughput as per business objective norms
- Maintain product MOP's across channel & markets with close control & interaction with sales heads
- Visiting different markets across India to review brand performance and take corrective measures
- Competition Benchmarking & Industry Analysis
- Create product strategies of DMDC for respective channels
PRODUCT PLANNING:
- Work with Supply Chain in developing the right sales forecast so that availability is met
- Liaison with Quality and R&D to improve fit, finish & colour schemes for respective categories/ products
- Make performance trend reports on sales, placements & sell out for respective categories/ products
