Bajaj Allianz - Principal Delivery Head - Enterprise Integrations

The role exists to drive business and process efficiency for the organization by working along with business teams in leading and implementing innovative / novel technological solutions to address real time business issues / challenges and adding value to the business in alignment with the overall IT strategy of the organization and within the long-term vision of the organization

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Needs Identification and Ideation

a. Understand the long-range business imperatives for the organization and work with the team to identify ways to add value while delivering to the business objectives

b. Track industry changes, gather market awareness and intelligence; stay updated on latest happenings in the industry and explore ways to stay ahead of the curve

c. Engage with business teams on regular basis to understand their major areas of concern and explore opportunities to address the same by employing technology

d. Conduct primary and secondary search to come up with probable solutions in addressing the key business challenges

e. Work with the team to ideate and brain-storm on possible technological solutions to key business issues / challenges or optimization ways to reduce costs / expenditure

f. Guide team to conduct proof of concept (PoC) for sourced ideas and identify ones which can result in tangible value addition for the business

g. Work on business cases for assessing viability of an idea; pitch the business case to the superior and seek feedback; present the updated version to different business stakeholders and other counterparts; seek approval

2. Project Management and Delivery

a. Direct team to prepare an activity and time-wise schedule for the project; guide team to identify the possible risks and set up mitigation strategy to account for the risks

b. Prioritise projects in the order of value addition to the business

c. Identify technology partners to support the development / implementation and provide them with the brief

d. Update superior and other relevant stakeholders with the project progress; provide updates on key successes / failures

e. Discuss budget constraints with the superior; apprise him of deviations in the budget and probable reasons for the same

f. Participate in bi-monthly reviews with the management and other relevant stakeholders and apprise them of the project progress, new developments and seek feedback on the ongoing implementation; understand pain points and guide team in resolving

3. Stakeholder and Partnership Management

a. Work along with team to organize 'Innovation Day' for identifying and establishing relationship with startups and other technology partners

b. Engage with different stakeholders across the industry to understand the technology landscape, innovative process improvements and their implementation challenges; direct team to also look out for novel ways to address real time business issues

c. Discuss used cases, business issues / challenges with large technology corporations (TCS, IBM, etc.) and understand solution approach; discuss the same with team and the superior

4. Team Development and Engagement

a. Establish individual performance expectations and regularly review individual performance of the team

b. Encourage team to ideate / brain storm for novel ways of bringing in process improvements; stay abreast with latest trends in technology, business improvement

Technical Skills:

Core JAVA, J2EE, Spring Restful Web Services, Spring MVC, Micro Services, JAVA Application development, Architecture design, API development, expertise in frameworks, AWS cloud components & Technical Architect
