Head of IT PMO Governance
Job Purpose :
- The IT Governance PMO Head is responsible for overseeing and managing the IT governance framework within an organization. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining effective IT governance processes, policies, and procedures to ensure that IT initiatives align with business goals, comply with regulatory requirements, and mitigate risks. The IT Governance Head collaborates with various stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and internal audit, to drive accountability, transparency, and control over IT operations.
- We are looking for a strong technology Project Management professional with 12+ years of experience in managing large scale technology projects, project management office and IT governance preferably in the BFSI space.
Key responsibilities Project Management: Manage critical projects and engage with stakeholders for providing regular updates. Ensure projects are delivered within agreed time, scope and budget, and that project milestones and deliverables are met
Project Tracking and Governance: Ensure project owners are accountable for their commitments and are tracking deadlines, deliverables, resources, and timelines.
Project and Portfolio Reporting: Publishing key metrices to track health of all portfolios across the IT enterprise, flag non conformances and gather mitigation plans from the portfolio owners and track them to closure
Process documentation, governance, and improvement: Document the standardized process that needs to be followed around change management, release management etc. and ensure the same is followed diligently by the portfolio owners and identify areas of improvements
Audit facilitation: Manage audit, both internal and external around IT change management, operations and security
Key skills, qualifications, and experience:- Self-motivated individual with ability to work with multiple stakeholders both with and outside the department
- Excellent knowledge of project management techniques, tools, and methodologies that cover all phases of the project lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to understand business needs and create strategies accordingly
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and project stakeholders.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
- PMP/Prince 2 or any equivalent certification will be a plus
- Experience in Indian General Insurance domain will be an added advantage
- Exposure to PLSQL, JAVA and cloud technologies will be an added advantage
