Job Summary:


We are currently seeking a Business Development professional to support retrofit projects for industrial and utility customers. As the Business Development Professional, you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy in alignment with our short-term and long-term business plans. You'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with target customers, identify new opportunities, and grow our project pipeline.


Essential Responsibilities:


- Sales Strategy Development: Assist in developing annual and long-term sales strategies aligned with business plans.


- Relationship Building: Forge long-term relationships with target customers to support sales strategies.


- Networking: Establish formal and informal networks to gain insight into future project opportunities. Take responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new customers.


- Promotion: Attend various events to promote BPS, including customer lead events and industry-specific gatherings.


- Customer Interface: Interface with customers during the initial phases of projects to ensure satisfaction and escalate concerns to senior leadership when necessary. Establish relationships with clients and provide a high standard of customer service continually.


- Reporting: Regularly report on the status of the sales strategy and maintain the opportunity pipeline. Give up to-date information relating to customer activities.


- Market Analysis: Collaborate with corporate resources to review market data and competitor activities, providing insights to senior management.


- Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline, including opportunities, bids, and proposals, and provide input on pipeline status and business impact to senior management.


Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:


Job Description:


Business Development:


- Understanding of Coal Fired/ Oil Boilers (Wall, T-Fired & Industrial) projects and the overall Boiler Services delivery market.


- Proven track record of developing relationships and closing deals with thermal power plant customers.


- Knowledge of Boiler delivery market trends and growth strategies.


- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.


- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; capable of adjusting priorities.


- Ability to create and maintain sales metrics.


Education and Experience:


- Bachelors/Master's degree in engineering discipline, Business Management, or equivalent experience.


- 10-15 years in business development.


Location: Chennai India


Position Type: Full-Time/Regular


This role requires frequent travel that varies from 50-75%
