Job Title: Retail Planner

Job Overview:

The Retail Planner will be responsible for driving sales and profitability through effective merchandise planning and inventory management. This role will involve analyzing sales data, forecasting future demand, and working closely with the Merchandising team to ensure that the right products are in the right place at the right time. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about the fashion and luxury industry.

Job Description :

- Analyze sales data and historical trends to forecast future demand and create merchandise plans

- Work closely with the buying & merchandising team to ensure that the product assortment meets the needs of the customer and aligns with the company's overall strategy

- Develop and manage inventory plans to maximize sales and profitability while minimizing stock levels. Well versed with planning and execution of stock allocation, replenishment and liquidation.

- Prepare detailed and comprehensive Merchandise Plans - Open to Buy (OTB), Range Plan, Season Plan and coordinate or effective execution.

- Partner with cross-functional teams, including retail operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure that plans are aligned and executed effectively

- Monitor and react to changes in sales trends, adjusting plans as needed to optimize performance

- Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management on key performance metrics, including sales, inventory levels, and margin performance

- Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure that products are presented in a way that drives sales and enhances the customer experience

Reporting Structure:

This role reports to the Chief Business Officer (Retail Division)

Job Specification:

- Masters / Post Graduation / Bachelor's degree in fashion from top Fashion Design / Technology Institute.

- 8+ years of experience in merchandise planning, preferably in the fashion or luxury industry

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data and draw insights

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and build strong relationships with key stakeholders

- Experience working with retail planning software and advanced Excel skills

- A passion for the fashion and luxury industry, with a deep understanding of current trends and consumer behaviour
