Senior Product Manager

Ayla is looking for a senior product manager that is excited by the ambiguity and speed of a startup, motivated to work as a - full stack PM- across Engineering, Marketing and Business Development and experienced in building enterprise scale cloud platforms. The Internet of Things value proposition is evolving rapidly, and you will be on the leading edge of designing and building products that drive significant value for our customers, partners and end-users.

You should have extensive experience with SaaS/PaaS platforms, cloud technologies, and/or wireless/cellular networking. From designing delightful products with engineering, to presenting your vision to customer and industry executives, you should be comfortable driving deep technical, business and strategy discussions.

This position will work closely with senior executives worldwide to drive our go-to-market strategy.

Responsibilities - 

- Responsible for product strategy for specific product lines within Ayla's IoT Platform

- Creating buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners

- Developing product and market positioning strategies

- Translating product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes

- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact

- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources

- Drive product launches including working with product marketing, executives, and other product management team members

- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed

- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding

- Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services

Desired Skills and Experience

- 5+ years of product management or related experience

- Deep technical understanding of cloud and/or networking technologies, to translate product strategy and market needs into product and engineering requirements.

- Strong business sense, to uncover opportunities, and quantify them with business cases and financial models.

- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills

- Proven ability to work in an ambiguous, fast paced environment, with little direction and quick decision making.

- History of success in executing high-impact plans that move business metrics.
