Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire DVP collections program through our external agency partner.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive collections strategy aligned with company objectives.
- Set clear performance goals and expectations for the collections agency.
- Monitor and analyze agency performance metrics, including delinquency rates, collection ratios, and recovery rates.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization within the collections process.
- Foster a strong and collaborative relationship with the collections agency to ensure seamless communication and efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations governing debt collection practices.
- Manage and develop the relationship with the collections agency vendor, including contract negotiations and performance reviews.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on the effectiveness of the DVP collections program.
- Manage a budget for the collections program and ensure efficient use of resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in collections management, with a strong focus on Debt Verification & Payment (DVP) processes.
- Proven track record of success in leading and managing high-performing collections teams (agency or internal).
- In-depth understanding of collections best practices, regulatory requirements (FDCPA, HIPAA), and skip tracing techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address collection challenges.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and collections management software (a plus)
