Axis Bank Foundation (ABF) was set up in 2006 to provide a strategic approach for the Corporate Social Responsibility of Axis Bank Ltd. (ABL) and its subsidiaries. It is registered as a Public Charitable Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act.
ABF's vision is to create resilient rural communities with self-sustaining ecosystems that are managed by the communities it supports. Every project is designed and implemented according to the varied requirements and aspirations of each local community.
Axis Bank Foundation collaborates with grassroots NGOs across India to implement its programs aimed at supporting Rural Livelihoods and Skill Development. In 2018, ABF launched Mission2Million to positively impact two million rural households by the year 2025.
About the Role
The candidate must have experience with Rural livelihood including farm, non-farm, collectives, NRM, skill & enterprise and project management to be able to create a stronger data and knowledge driven approach to overall investments in this space. Explore various investment models for better impact. Develop a concurrent impact assessment leading to enhanced outreach with various stakeholders to emerge as a prominent rural livelihood funding organization. The role would require travel to project locations across the country
Key Responsibilities
Primary
- Create a dynamic & functional repository of information, knowledge, financial & non-financial data through a systematic engagement with projects and partners
- Create and manage knowledge sharing amongst opportunity / programs for partner NGOs and sector in general
- Be in know of market trends, policy changes to enhance project management and our role in the rural livelihood ecosystem.
- Explore and create newer/different investment models
- Develop risk management framework.
- Development communication & documentation.
Secondary
- Project management through the program's life cycle.
- Ensure project implementation in alignment with the objectives outlined through frequent - field visits, utilization analysis and regular interactions with the NGO's field teams
- Ensure adherence to compliance and audit requirements
- Budget management of the project
- Internal and external reporting
- Stakeholder engagement and management
- Participating in various initiatives of the Foundation within and outside Axis Bank

Qualifications
- Graduate or Post Graduate in Social Work/Rural Development
- Minimum 8-10 years of working experience in various aspects of rural livelihoods with a focus on the technical aspects.
Role Proficiencies-
For successful execution of the job, a candidate should possess the following -
- Good communication (both verbal & written) in English (proficient) and Hindi (fluent) and inter-personal skills
- Deep understanding of development issues, especially on climate change in the local context and know-how on industry best practices
- Strong Excel and database manipulation skills, financial and statistical analysis skills
- Ability to manage risk and uncertainty for self and team within a dynamic priority-setting environment
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as a part of team and contribute towards team goals
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Demonstrated managing multiple stakeholders relationships
- Experience in working with livelihoods issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong negotiation, analytical skills and logical thinking
