Roles & Responsibilities :

- Role mandate is to create best in class financial analytics set-up which leverages knowledge of financials, business, system & data engineering domains.

- Output of this team is to provide strategic P&L insights to the highest leadership of the bank

Responsibilities fall under 3 broad categories :

- P&L related Insights :

1. P&L views - Generate P&L views as sought by the stakeholder set

2. Deep Dives - Conduct driver analysis of revenue and cost items

3. Analytical Products - Liase with Valuations & Data Engineering teams to create analytical products to generate richer & quicker P&L insights

- Financial Planning & Analysis :

1. Budgets - Create bottom-up budgets/operating plans based on underlying on business drivers

2. Variance Analysis - Tracking and ascertaining reasons of variance from plan

3. Scenario Analysis - Create, manage & leverage analytical framework to identify optimal portfolio mix across different portfolio scenarios

- Competitor Intelligence & Stakeholder Asks :

1. Stakeholder Management - Liase with business heads & product managers and enable them in meeting their P&L goals

2. Competitor Intelligence - Glean out insights on competitors based on industry data (publicly available & subscription based)

Experience & Skills :

- 5-6 years of experience in the analytics, preferably (not necessarily) in banking/payments space

- Good problem articulation & problem solving skills

- Hands-on coding experience (SAS/SQL)

- Proficiency in Excel
