Axis Bank - Credit Industry Research

The Research Group will focus on industry research, competitive analysis of companies within industry, portfolio analysis of lending relationship of bank with industry focus and continuous monitoring and assessment impact of macro events on various sector and its potential impact on corporates within the bank's credit portfolio.

Role/Responsibilities:

1. The role would be akin to buy side research analyst for equity funds with a credit perspective.

2. Compiling a onetime Initiating Report of the Industry identifying potential sectoral triggers for the key portfolio companies

3. Preparing regular industry analysis & updates capturing (with focus on credit related impacts)

a. Changes in key business characteristics, regulatory environment governing the sector;

b. Overall risk of the industry based on the demand-supply scenario, extent of competition and input related risk;

c. Key factors affecting the credit risk within the industry; and

d. Competitive Analysis

4. Future outlook

5. Monitoring identified macro events in the sector allocated on a daily basis and releasing impact reports of any major developments in the sectors tracked and superimposing the impact of changes in a sector to specific borrowers

6. Financial modeling and demand forecasting on a case to case basis

7. Preparing industry review reports/presentations for senior management on a case to case basis
