Financial Research:- Under our Financial Research vertical, we support reputable clients in the financial services industry including variety of buy-side and sell-side clients
- The scope of projects ranges from investment research (buy and sell-side equity / credit data, research and analysis) to corporate finance (pitch books, information memos, financial models and other deal / transactions related support work), investment opportunity analysis (market / competition landscape research, deal / transaction summaries, investment committee notes, etc) and various forms of investment analytics and reporting / dashboards / benchmarking
- We support clients equally across the public and private market investment spectrum
- Our business is a mix of ongoing dedicated analyst relationships and ad-hoc value-added projects. This mix allows our staff to have arguably better learning and growth opportunities to work across different client categories
Vice President / Senior Vice President (13+ years of experience)
Axience is looking for an experienced professional with unmatched execution and leadership abilities from third party KPOs or financial services captives or related background who can manage / lead research delivery with financial services clients focus
- Manage multiple ongoing client accounts and projects and underlying teams related to public and private markets for investment banking, brokerages, asset management, private equity / credit, family offices and other clients
- Manage multiple ad-hoc projects and underlying team structure for our financial services clients ranging from equity / credit research, investment banking support, feasibility studies, investment evaluations to due diligence among others
- Lead and be responsible for pilots and successful winning new client accounts, driven by an unmatched ownership, quality and execution and leadership abilities
- Full responsibility for project planning and execution processes - proposal preparation, client communication, project plan, teamwork allocation, work review and finalization
- Contribute to training and development of underlying delivery teams and develop a plan for smooth operating structure
- Contribute towards internal knowledge management - managing work collaterals / samples, maintaining projects databases, presentation / pitches, etc.
- Participation in business development activities and growing client relationships
- Supporting on a broad range of operational and administrative tasks including hiring, onboarding, learning and development, research processes, etc.
While the detailed Key Responsibilities Areas (KRA) will be shared with shortlisted candidates at a later stage, the below is an indicative set of responsibilities along with weightages:
- Research Delivery, Client Relationship Management, Project Management (50-60%)
- Pre-sales, Business Development, Adhoc / Pilot Projects, Knowledge Management (20-30%)
- Team Management - Hiring, Learning and Development, Employee Engagement, Attrition Management (10-20%)
While the position requires professionals with core experience in Financial Research, anyone that can also handle Business Research focused projects will be equally considered. However, Financial Research skillset is primary requirement.
Select Business Research skillsets include:
- Experience in managing research and consulting projects for corporates and professional services firms, with experience ranging from scope definition to delivery and client engagement
- Worked on projects ranging from market opportunity assessment, competitive landscape, peer / target identification & benchmarking, market modelling, company / competitor analysis, sector reports, thematic studies, whitepaper, etc.
Required Background:- Advanced education from top tier institutions with top 10% academic performance in the class
- Minimum 13 years of relevant and progressive work experience, both as am individual contributor as well as projects lead in the financial / investment research field with expertise in multiple areas / client segments
- Minimum 10 years to be considered for VP role
- More than 13 years of experience to be considered for SVP role
- Any other qualities which clearly differentiates the candidate from others
- Prior experience of working in KPO / investment banks / captive units of international investment banks / brokerage houses
- International exposure through travel or education is desired
