Hiring candidates for VP / AVP - Investment Banking with the leading client for Mumbai Location
The broad criteria for AVP / VP level Candidates -
1. Minimum graduate from a good/reputed institute. MBA/ Post Graduate/Professional degrees (such as CA, CFA, etc. would be given higher weightage)
2. 4-10 years of work experience in Investment Banking, PE/VC, Corporate Strategy role. Work experience of coverage and/or execution is a must.
3. Thorough knowledge of making Information Memorandums, Financial Models, Company Valuations, Industry research, Teasers etc
4. Extremely good communication skills, PPT/Excel knowledge is must.
5. Has been leading a team or currently in a leadership role.
6. Deal/mandate origination (buy/sell side is Mandatory)
7. Previous end-to-end deal closure/execution experience is Mandatory.
Job Responsibilities: -
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with key clients, including corporations, institutions, and government entities. Understand their needs and provide strategic advice on financial transactions.
- Deal Execution: Heavily involved in the execution of various financial transactions such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), initial public offerings (IPOs), debt issuances, and other corporate finance activities. This involves leading deal teams, coordinating with different departments within the bank, and ensuring transactions are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Financial Analysis: Perform complex financial modeling and analysis to evaluate potential deals and assess their financial implications for clients. This includes analyzing financial statements, conducting valuation analyses, and preparing presentations and pitch materials.
- Team Leadership and Management: Oversee and mentor analysts and associates, providing guidance on their work, facilitating their professional development, and ensuring the successful completion of projects.
- Business Development: Actively participate in business development efforts, including identifying new client opportunities, pitching services to potential clients, and expanding the bank's market presence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all transactions comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies, including those related to securities laws, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, and other industry standards.
- Market Research and Analysis: Staying informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities is crucial for VPs to provide strategic advice to clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Negotiation: Often participate in negotiation sessions with clients, counterparties, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable terms for their clients in financial transactions.
- Risk Management: VPs assess and manage various risks associated with financial transactions, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk, to protect the interests of clients and the bank.
