Job Summary: Looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to develop the General Accounting team in supporting South Asia and other parts of the world.
The General Accounting Tower Lead provides leadership and direction to the team that delivers general accounting (including Fixed Assets and Intercompany Accounting), and account analysis / reconciliation processes. The manager works closely with the FAST Performance Manager to define and implement necessary process changes.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Performance Measures :
40% - Lead, motivate, hire, train, support, and develop accounting staff
- Manage staff planning and performance management of the tower team
- Develop capabilities to meet the changing needs of the Finance & Analytical Services Team (FAST)
- Assist supervisors in setting priorities
- Responsible for providing solutioning expertise for new process transition within the tower
20% - Identify potential process risks, establish control plans and monitor the impact
15% - Responsible for driving continuous improvement via Bright Ideas, Lean Projects, Green belt & Black Belt Projects, or Achieving Competitive
Excellence (ACE) framework :
15% - Building robust business relationships with key partners and stakeholders
10% - Monitor operations performance on agreed SLAs and other metrics and suggest action plan if required
Direct the preparation of General Ledger close reporting to ensure adequate completeness, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility and consistency to corporate policies and GAAP

- Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university with a major in accounting
- CPA or chartered accountant required, MBA preferred
- Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or other Shared Service Center (SSC) certifications preferred
- 10+ years of practical accounting experience, with at least 4 to 5 years of public accounting experience preferred
- 5+ years of leadership experience in the general accounting function or in a similar environment, including account reconciliations, journal entry processing, intercompany accounting, fixed assets and overall general ledger accounting
- Experience with a Western multi-national company
