About our Client - Our client is a subsidiary of one of India's biggest and most respected private sector Banks in India. It is a leading stock broking company having completed over 15 years in operations serving a diverse customer base of retail and institutional investors. It looking to grow its Institutional broking segment by expanding the Equity research team as the first step. It is looking to add Lead Research Analysts across all sectors to the equity research team.

Job Description - Reporting into the Head of Research, your responsibilities will include:

- Leading all research efforts in the designated sector and guiding and training the team of research associates of that sector

- Interaction with company promoters/officials,annual report analysis, quarterly result updates and event updates of the stocks under coverage

- Attending various industry conferences and building long lasting relationships with investors, regulators and other market participants

- Interacting with the media personnel (television, newspaper) and giving the sector views

- Communicating efficiently with the sales traders and sales team about the stocks under coverage on a regular basis

The Successful Candidate - You will have an MBA from a top tier business school / CA, CFA and a Bachelor's in Engineering/IIT is desirable. You will ideally have 6-9 years of work experience on buy side/sell side equity research with a strong focus on the same sector for the recent most 2-3 years. You will have demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical abilities along with excellent commercial acumen through your prior work experience.
