We have some AVP/VP position open with an Investment Banking client for Bangalore location. Looking for atleast 10-20 years experience with 5 years experience in Client Onboarding/KYC/Controls/AML/Advisory is mandatory
Timings: Night Shift
Location: Bangalore
Level: AVP/VP/Director
- Understanding of legal/reputational and regulatory risk is mandatory
- Relevant KYC/AML certification (ACAMS, ICA) is highly desirable
- Experience in FATCA, FRANK DODD will be preferred.
Core responsibilities include:
- Translate regulatory changes into departmental strategy, business and action plans. Lead and ensure that these are carried through and realized.
- Highlight risks emanating from operations and proactively communicate and provide solutions in terms of suitable mitigation strategies
- Provide direction and vision to the core SME teams and drive efficiency, prioritization and results.
- Have an excellent eye for detail and ability to spot discrepancies.
- Ensure being abreast of various regulatory changes and drive impact analysis and proactively communicate to senior management.
- Face off to regulators/Audit (internal and external) and take complete charge of audit observations and ensure suitable remediation plans are agreed upon and adhered to.
- Guide, supervise, motivate, develop and reward employees so that their performance related to the departments and company’s strategy is optimized in the short and long term.
- Work closely with technology, Global AML groups to simplify policies, procedures thereby ensures fine balance between risk and business.
- Maintain strict discipline and rigor around error tracking, analysis, feedback, knowledge management, training, updating of operating procedures
- Inculcate absolute adherence to the business and firm wide Risk/Controls agenda, work closely with the Risk team for periodic assessments of risks & controls and timely closure of identified control issues.
