Job Purpose :
They are looking for a AVP/VP role, who would be working as an advisor & Group Mentor in their BRC department. Primarily this person will be leading the BRC team to assist the Chairman in carrying out the review of various Group businesses and provide strategic inputs in a summarised manner.
Job Context:
The role of Team Leader in BRC Cell is strategic and critical in nature as it involves
i) close liaison with senior executives of different businesses under the scope of Business Review Council headed by the Chairman of BRC
ii) leading/guiding the BRC team to carry out an incisive analysis of performance, P&Bs, strategies and growth plans of these businesses; and;
iii) provide strategic inputs to the Chairman of BRC in a summarised manner regularly based on such analysis /review of the performance, P&Bs and growth plans of these businesses.
Job Challenges:
The nature and issues of each business are unique and different from others. Hence, to understand the business dynamics of 35 SBUs located in different geographies world over, analyse their performances, P&Bs, capex requirements, strategies and growth plans and put them in a summarised format to the Chairman is quite challenging. Further dealing and liaison with senior executives of various businesses in the most professional manner is very critical and challenging to perform this role.
Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:
- Providing strategic inputs to the Chairman of Business Review Council (BRC) based on review and incisive analysis of reports of all businesses under the scope of the BRC - As soon as the presentations are received from the business, get the analysis done by the BRC team within 3 working days of the receipt of the presentation and send a summary note to the Chairman of the BRC.
- Leading and guiding the BRC team to carry out proper analysis of the businesses in such manner that important financial, commercial, technical, marketing, HR and other strategic issues are brought to the attention of the Chairman of BRC for discussion with the businesses - Get a summary report prepared by the BRC team, effectively & comprehensively capturing all important matters of the business so as to highlight the important deviations to the budget or prior periods and other critical information about the business.
- Providing guidance to the BRC team in review of Capex proposals of the SBUs and rolling Plans & Budgets of each of SBUs
- Ensure the Capex proposals and Planning & Budgeting documents are thoroughly and properly reviewed by the team and a summary report is submitted to the Chairman within 5 working days from the receipt of such documents from the business, highlighting the important information about these capex proposals and P&Bs for approvals.
- Advising the BRC team in finalising a summary after review of each business. Advise the team in finalising a Summary note within 2 working days of having the performance review meeting of each business, in consultation with the Chairman of BRC.
- Liaise and coordinate with Business Heads, Unit Heads, CFOs, Central Cell members and other senior executives on critical matters related to the businesses under the scope of - As and when needed, liaise with senior executives of different businesses and Central Cell members for important / critical matters related to the business and seek certain information/ clarifications.

To provide a wide range of executive, analytical and administrative support to BRC Chairman for Reviews of:
(i) Performance &
(ii) Strategic Development of businesses under the BRC for enhancing their long term competitiveness and profitable growth.
