Tax Reporting team in Global Finance Services is responsible for the preparation of Corporate Income Tax, Indirect tax, Employment tax returns, Tax provisioning and reconciliation of Tax balance sheet accounts, and reporting and analysis of the Group's effective tax rate. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders in performing detailed reviews as well as ensuring delivery of tax returns and other reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities:

- Managing the EMEA Tax Reporting function in delivering its compliance and reporting tasks including:

- Review of tax returns and payments in EMEA region

- Review of reconciliation of income tax expense and deferred tax balances

- Internal reporting of tax accounting information to Head office Group team

- Facilitate periodic operational meetings with team leads to plan, strategize on priorities and upcoming challenges in Tax Reporting function

- Understanding operational risks and ensuring controls meet internal risks policies

- Support global strategic, tactical and operational initiatives: and IT system and source data changes required to drive operational excellence in tax reporting function

- Manage senior stakeholders- expectations and provide timely updates on issues / escalations

- Close interaction with Financial Control, Tax Advisory, Legal Entity Controllers, Risk Management Group, Information Technology Group and Project Management office to service Macquarie tax reporting requirements

- Lead and coach the team and provide support to junior team members to enhance their knowledge and effectiveness

- Application and documentation of internal tax policies and procedures

- Manage change management (including communicating changes, facilitate pieces of training)

What this means about you:

- Qualified CA, CPA (or equivalent) with 12 years experience in finance / tax reporting roles

- Tax Accounting experience with IFRS experience preferable

- Demonstrate an understanding of key corporate tax principles

- Broad financial accounting knowledge

- Strong people management and leadership skills

- Sound decision-making approach and sense of accountability/ownership of key deliverables

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, and guide team members on key priorities

- Strong vision for the function with a desire to lead and guide others to achieve goals and objectives

- Strong communication skills and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcome for the group and escalation of issues on a timely basis

- The collaborative and team-oriented leader that enables team members to maximize their capabilities

- Strong adherence to timelines and attention to detail

- Good understanding of data flows, source systems and general ledger

- Ability to respond to internal and external requests/ inquiries in a timely and professional manner

- Continuous drive to find and deliver on opportunities to improve the business
