AVP - Valuations Operations Team

Position summary:

- The Valuations Operations Team at Noida invites academically bright graduates, who have demonstrated leadership ability in a valuation / evaluated pricing / investment banking operations environment, to apply for the position of AVP, Valuation Operations.

- The successful candidate will lead a team of finance professionals that are passionate about derivatives. The Valuations team serves marquee names in the finance industry helping them reduce risk, increase transparency and enhance operational efficiency.

- The ideal candidate is a self-starting leader who is an inspiration and a role model for Associates and is able to articulate ideas in finance and operations with ease.

- He or she enjoys manipulating numbers, fitting curves, solving quantitative problems and collaborating with other functional leaders of geographically dispersed valuations teams.

- A typical day of the AVP could comprise solving people issues, training global counterparts, working Excel models, discussing nuances of derivatives, on-boarding new clients, setting up new trades and solving price challenges for clients.

Business competencies:

Education and experience:

- Graduate degree with strong mathematical ability demonstrated by over 80% marks at +2 level.

- An understanding of financial derivatives.

- Demonstrated ability to work the Microsoft office suite and within that, proficiency in Excel.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Skills / Experience:

- Basic understanding of database structures.

- VBA, SQL or other programming skills.

- 2 years’ experience in structured derivatives markets.

- Experience in a client facing environment or in account management.

Commercial awareness:

- Appreciation of the business need of Valuations of the end clients

- Familiarity with the businesses that sell-side and buy-side firms are engaged with

- Understanding of the time criticality required in the valuations arena

Management requirements:

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Valuations, Pricing or Investment Banking Operations with at least 1 year as a people manager.
