AVP - Trust & Agency Services - Investment Banking

We are currently looking for AVP for a leading Investment Bank in Pune

- The AVP will provide daily support and guidance to staff within the department and will work closely with Team Managers (direct reports), co-AVP, VP and Head, Global stakeholders, Business, Client Services, External clients etc. to address operational issues.

- Responsible for ensuring that day to day operations function smoothly and issues are resolved for teams.

- He/she will be responsible for transitioning of any new process within the area and will need to take ownership in formulating strategy, hiring people, working with onshore to get the training requirements in place and will act as the SPOC to accomplish a smooth transition.

- Other responsibilities include cross -training, succession planning, Management MIS, lead and drive departmental initiatives, and interfacing with the different departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of all activities on a daily basis within the given timelines.

- AVP would also be responsible for other activities like BCM, Audits, Transformation and people related initiatives.

Required Skills:

- Product knowledge: Debt Instruments (MTN, CD, CP, Bonds etc)

- Process Knowledge: Keeping #1 in mind, activities that they have managed and have a hands on experience in one or more activities and it could be Corporate Action, Settlements, Depository etc..

- Good to have: Exposure in Euroclear, Clearstream and/or DTCC activities.

- Transferable skills: Involved in people management, risk and control governance, presentation and communication and a very hands on candidate.

- Ok to look at candidates who are currently into Securities ops, custody ops, Middle office function and FX ops

- Should have ideally managed a team size of 60 - 70 people with 3-4 direct reports.

- Should be ok to work in 24- 7 shift.
