AVP- Training (Microfinance NBFC)
Purpose of the role:
- The Assistant Vice President of Training (Head - L&D) is a key leadership position within the organization, responsible for assisting the CHRO.
- The Head of Learning and Development is a strategic leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development programs that align with the organization's business objectives.
- This role involves developing a culture of continuous learning and growth, fostering talent development, and ensuring employees have the skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
Reporting To: Chief Human Resource Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning Strategy: Develop and execute a learning and development strategy that supports the Light's goals and objectives.
- Leadership Development: Design and deliver leadership development programs to nurture and develop future leaders within the organization.
- Learning Programs: Oversee the development and delivery of a variety of Training programs for Sales and Credit team, including operation and technical training, soft skills development, and compliance training.
- Content Development: Collaborate with Business and functional teams to create and update training content and materials.
- Learning Technology: Evaluate and implement learning management systems (LMS) and other technology solutions to enhance learning and development processes.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives.
- Talent Development: Identify high-potential employees and create talent development plans to support their growth and career progression.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the learning and development budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Collaborate with external training providers, consultants, and vendors when necessary.
- Change Management: Support the organization through change initiatives by providing training and development resources to address skill gaps and facilitate change adoption.
- Compliance: Ensure that all training and development programs are compliant with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Human Resources, Organizational Development).
- Proven experience in learning and development leadership roles, including designing and implementing learning strategies.
- Experience in Microfinance or Rural Finance is must
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and learning technology trends.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and data-driven approach to assess the impact of learning programs.
- Change management expertise to support organizational change efforts.
- Strong project management skills to oversee complex training initiatives.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and eLearning platforms.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence with and without direct authority with Senior Levels of Management.
- Solid organizational skills with ability and willingness to work under pressure and manages time and priorities effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority.
