We have been retained by a foreign bank to identify a suitable candidate for the position of an AVP - Trade Finance Operations to be based at Mumbai. Job Purpose : - To lead and develop the Trade Finance Operation's function Key Responsibilities : - Implement objectives, policies and procedures manual and user manuals for trade finance unit - Initiate or develop trade finance policy - Execute projects related to trade finance operations, ensure their timely completion, achievement of objectives and cost efficiencies - Manage recent digitization by RBI for Export Data Processing and monitoring System (EDPMS) & Import Data Processing & Monitoring System (IDPMS) - Responsible for Trade Receivables Electronic Discounting System(TReDS) platform for faster payment to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) - Preparation of SOPs for various processes in consultation with the various stakeholders - Responsible for all import, inland products and processes (including payments) and all structured deals - Review department delivery processes with a view to ensure smooth workflow within the department, reduce turnaround times and achieve efficiency and cost benefits - To ensure that remittance documents are in line with FEMA/RBI and internal guidelines - Responsible for OFAC, FIU & AML compliance related to trade finance department - Leading the Trade Finance Operations team and overall accountability for efficient processing and end to end service delivery of various trade products and treasury product maintaining Turn Around Time (TAT) and Straight Through Processing (STP) - Responsible for process improvements, including system related automation initiatives in close coordination with IT team - Ensure that all transaction processing is in compliance with regulatory and Bank's policies, procedures and standards with prompt intervention to resolve problems/ concern areas - Manage centralized operations unit in coordination with branches, business groups, compliance and other stakeholders - Identify as the single point contact for all trade and capital account related regulatory support for the entire operations unit - Identify and mitigate the associated risks and gaps in between internal process and regulations Desired Skills/Competencies : - Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting under FEMA and RBI regulations - Experience in TReDS payment system - Strong communication skills both spoken as well as written - Strong planning and organizing skills - Excellent management skills - Sound problem solving and decision-making skills Candidate Profile : - Candidates should be Graduates / CAs or MBAs (Finance) with 8 - 12 years relevant experience in Trade Finance Operations
