AVP - Tech & Product - Internet/eCommerce

About the role :

We need a senior leader who can own and lead this charter, with ownership of both product and engineering.

Requirements:

- 10+ years of overall product and tech experience

- Strong software design/development experience in building large scale internet systems and products

- Strong product experience leading and owning product areas in consumer internet/SAAS/software product firms

- Should have managed both product and tech teams, even if at different times

- Engineering experience should be fundamentally in the Java stack

- Experience in API driven products is a big plus

- The right candidate is currently already managing both product and tech, but if they currently lead one and have experience with the other, that's fine too

Qualifications : Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering. An MBA will be a strong plus

- Driving innovations in the product constantly to remain ahead of the curve

- Serve as a thought leader both in product and tech

- Very strong first-principle thinking, and structured problem solving capabilities

- Drive to set ambitious goals and make transformational impact. (But by being smart, not by working more hours)

- Collaborate with cross functional teams to solve complex problems and build products spanning across multiple teams to deliver end-to-end products & features

- Mentor / coach product managers and engineers to facilitate their development and provide functional leadership to them
