Position Title AVP - Sector Head - Analytics
Location Mumbai, Hyderabad, Gurgaon or Bangalore
Reporting To Group Head Corporate Sector Ratings
Nature of Work Regular work from office
Job Purpose
The role is responsible for positioning the company as a strong rating agency amongst issuers, investors, policy makers and key opinion makers
The role oversees assessment of the Power / Energy / Renewable Sector Ratings
Key Responsibilities:
Managerial Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular interactions with the teams to ensure high levels of motivation
- Ensure staffing requirements are met on a regular basis to handle the growing business opportunities
- Providing mentoring, coaching and guidance to the team for enhanced performance
Functional Responsibilities:
- Responsible for regularly monitoring rated portfolio and minimizing sharp rating swings
- Ensuring timely execution of rating assignments
- Interacting with key verticals business development and other enabling functions to ensure efficient rating operations and superior client service
- Tracking competitor activities and any sectoral developments
- Ensuring compliance with all requirements (Internal and Regulatory driven) and timely publishing of research reports on various sub segments of the sector with emphasis on analytical quality
- Contributing to the development and improvement of rating methodology for various sub segments of financial sector
- Maintain constant touch with issuers, investors and intermediaries. Maintain excellent client connect and minimize relationship losses.
Job Requirements:
Qualification : Typically a CA or MBA from Tier 1 or 2
Experience : 10 + years of experience
Functional Competencies:
- Expertise in credit risk analysis
- Good understanding of Indian financial sector
- Strong grasp over financial analysis and credit risk analysis
- Ability to understand and track sectoral developments
- Good understanding of the industry and credit policies
Behavioral Competencies:
- Excellent communication - written and oral
- Excellent client interaction skills
- Ability to maintain and build client relationships
- Ability to handle strict deadlines and tight turnaround time
- Ability to think strategically
